Saving the current view as a custom layout
If you have adapted the program interface as required or optimized it for processing certain tasks (e.g. maintaining the organizational plan), it is advisable to save these layouts so that you can access these settings again later. These layouts can then be called up at any time with just a few clicks.
- Customize the program interface by opening all windows that are to be saved in the new window layout.
- Click on the Layouts button in the View tab and select the Manage Window Layouts entry.
- Click on Add Current and enter a name for the new window layout.
- Finally, click OK. The window is closed, the new window layout is saved and added to the list under the Layouts button.
Loading a layout
To call up a window layout, click on the Layouts button in the View tab and select the corresponding entry. The selected window layout is loaded and displayed after a few seconds.
Export your own layouts
If you want to transfer your own window layout to other PCs, continue using it after reinstalling the program or save it, you can export it as an (*.xml) file.
- Click on the Layouts button in the View tab and select the Manage Window Layouts entry.
- Click on the Export button.
The Save as window opens. - Select the storage location and name for the layout file and confirm with Save.
The window closes and the file is saved in *.xml format.
The selected name of the window layout is suggested as the file name during export.
Attention: Do not edit the exported layout files (*.xml) manually with an editor. This may damage the file and it may no longer be loaded.
