Introducing: André Hartzer is a support team member at ViCon
The entire ViCon team is highly motivated and committed to viflow and the concerns of those interested in viflow on a daily basis. In our series "Introducing you", we regularly tell you more about the people at ViCon.
Today we introduce André Hartzer, a member of the viflow support team:
In July 2005 – after completing his studies at the Faculty of Supply Engineering at the Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel University of Applied Sciences – André began his training as an IT clerk at ViCon. He has been part of our team ever since.
„I like the variety of the work in viflow support: there are the classic inquiries and every now and then it gets tricky when it comes to tracking down errors and setting up test systems. It is important and sometimes very time-consuming to map the user's technical environment as accurately as possible to ensure reproducibility.
If software errors are found, I document them in our bug tracking system, exchange information with the development department and then check whether the errors have been rectified.
My tasks also include installing and setting up the technical environment required for viflow or the add-ons for the users. The topics – e.g. SQL Server, Azure or everything to do with web servers – are just as varied as the systems used by the customer.
We also have "internal support" – I occasionally support our sales team at customer meetings with specific questions.
When I'm at my wit's end, I act as an interface between users and our 2nd level support team and try to provide both sides with the best possible support.
A particular challenge, which is also a particular pleasure, is communicating complex solutions to people with a wide range of IT skills – from IT or viflow newcomers to experienced system administrators."
