Introducing: Michael Edelburg – our all-rounder from the development department.

The entire ViCon team is highly motivated and committed to viflow and the concerns of those interested in viflow on a daily basis. In our “Introducing” series, we regularly tell you more about the people at ViCon.

Before Michael became part of the ViCon team in January 2017, he worked as an specialist for application development at two software companies in the project and product business. There he worked on internationally distributed HR solutions as well as merchandise management and e-commerce systems. With his experience, he is now an indispensable part of the ViCon team and a true all-rounder in software development.

“As a developer, I accompany the entire software lifecycle of our products – from the initial idea to the final release. I know our viflow software inside out: the core logic, the various add-ons and the entire infrastructure – I know where every screw fits. My day-to-day work remains exciting: I evaluate requirements, develop concepts, implement new features, continuously optimize our existing code base, support DevOps – and take on particularly tricky cases when support is stuck.

The rapidly changing digital world is the biggest challenge for our team. Frameworks, programming languages, cloud platforms and best practices are changing at a dizzying pace these days. If you want to develop successful products in the long term, you have to constantly learn, question existing approaches and try out new things – otherwise you will quickly lose touch.

This is precisely why viflow must be further developed in such a way that the software meets both current and future requirements. This dynamic makes the work exciting – the team at ViCon is great and it's fun to advance viflow together and develop innovative solutions.”
