Introducing: Patrick Steensen is a software developer and web specialist at ViCon

The entire ViCon team is highly motivated and committed to viflow and the concerns of those interested in viflow on a daily basis. In our series "Introducing", we regularly tell you more about the people at ViCon.

Today we introduce you to Patrick Steensen, who works in software development.

Patrick began his apprenticeship at ViCon in 2015 as an IT specialist in the field of application development, which he successfully completed three years later. Since then, he has been an integral part of the development team and the specialist for all questions relating to web technologies.

"Even as a pupil, I was very interested in computers and programming and it was clear to me very early on that I would pursue this career path. The apprenticeship at ViCon gave me the chance to turn my hobby into a career.

My tasks relating to viflow are very varied. Initially, I worked a lot with our support team, analyzing and fixing errors. Now I'm more involved in planning and implementing new projects for the next viflow generations.

Thanks to continuous further training and my passion for everything to do with the "web", I manage these projects and am now considered a "web specialist" in the team.

Incidentally, I also owe this reputation to the "WorldSkills" programming competition in Stuttgart, where I came third in the "Web development" category. That was a few years ago, but my colleagues obviously haven't forgotten it yet."
