viflow at the GWS corporate group
The GWS corporate group relies on viflow to create detailed instructions for its IT solutions. The modeled click instructions allow users to get started easily and also serve as training documents. The project was kicked off with an individual workshop conducted by ViCon GmbH consulting.
The quality management of the GWS product development is fully convinced of viflow
"We use viflow to document our software. Specifically, we use it to fix 'best practice business processes' so that people can work with our solution as easily and efficiently as possible. To do this, we rely on detailed descriptions in the process steps, which almost function like click instructions, and a simple modeling style. This way, even less tech-savvy users without a deeper understanding of the software can follow the instructions and work with it. This is important because we use the documentation not only internally when onboarding new employees, but also as training material for our customers.
This approach is not completely new for us. In fact, we have created such documentation before, but with a different software solution. However, the provider of that software went out of business, so we needed a replacement.
Pragmatic considerations certainly played a role in our decision to use viflow, because viflow was already available at GWS and was used for modeling internal processes.
But viflow was also very attractive to us beyond that. For example, the fact that viflow is built on Microsoft Visio: As a Microsoft Gold Partner, it is important and makes sense for us to use such a solution. And also the really good proof of concept from ViCon convinced us that viflow is a good choice for our purposes.
We were also convinced by the individual workshop that we conducted with ViCon. Here, the focus was both on the detailed mapping of our previous processes and on improvements that can be achieved with the new viflow software solution. We experienced the ViCon consultant as very flexible, competent and also solution-oriented. This positive experience has also once again confirmed our decision."
